Amulet bag:

Amulet Bag pattern
Watchful
Watchful Direct Download!
This lovely design creates an Amulet bag when done, and can be worked in either peyote or brick stitch.  It uses 29 colors, and is stitched in one long continuous piece of beadwork. When done, you simply zip the last row into the first row, and it will appear to be seamless. Then you whip stitch the bottom closed and it's perfect for hanging fringe off the bottom and strap from the top!  For those not familiar with my beadwork patterns, you will find that the colors shown in the sample photo are very precise to the colors you will have in your finished piece. I edit the colors to keep the total number as low as possible, and design with my Delica color sample cards in hand!  When purchased you will access  files for this pattern which include the full color photo above, a master sheet with the color swatch, color number and color name listed, the color number is the number assigned to that bead by the Miyuki company and should correspond to any sales list using those numbers.  It will also tell you the number of beads required for each color, very handy for ordering!

I hope you enjoy my patterns, and watch for more to be coming on line soon!

This started out as a challenge from a vendor who wanted a design that would be simple, use only the few colors he kept on hand, and be easy for someone to learn peyote with.  This design makes a unique amulet bag when done-just stitch from the front right into the back, and when done, bring the last row to the first row and zip them together, it will appear seamless! 16 colors used, and can be worked in either peyote or brick stitch.
