The ancient Egyptians incorporated semi-precious stones and various metals in elaborate ornate collars, arm bands and other jewelry. Each metal and stone was thought to imbue certain qualities of protection or healing.

Turquoise: synonymous with joy and life. The greener shades of turquoise were highly prized as green symbolized life.

Coral: Strength, stability and long life.
